Anema E core is an Italian restaurant that makes one of the most delicious, authentic Italian wood-fired pizza. They serve 1 metre pizza! I’ve tried many wood-fired pizzas in Sydney, but I must say that this restaurant is one of the best one so far. It’s located in Meadowbank; on the left side of the train station. Before you even arrive to the restaurant, you will be amazed by the smell of goodness and deliciousness of the pizza.

When I came to try their famous wood-fired pizza with a friend, we had to wait for an hour to get seated. Because the restaurant is not so big and has limited tables, you will have to make a reservation to avoid waiting. 

Entrée
For our entrée, we ordered the Buffalo Mozzarella cheese + Fagliere Di Formaggi (Italian cheese) with bread on the side. It was on a special deal, so we were lucky to have it at the price of $18. I personally love cheese, but for those who aren’t a big cheese eater might not enjoy as much, due to the strong smell and flavour.



Main: ½ length Pizza

Anema e core is famous for their 1 m length pizza. If you’re in a group of 4-6, 1m is just the right size.  My friend and I ordered the ½ metre pizza at the price of $45. 


We ordered two different types of pizza: 081 and Tre Salumi. The 081 pizza has a unique name and has many fresh toppings. Main ingredient is salami, ham and ricotta cheese with tomato base. The Tre Salumi is made up with Italian sausages with salami, basil, and olive oil. I really enjoyed both pizzas but if I had to choose, I liked 081 better than Tre Salumi. Tre Salumi can be quite spicy and has a strong herb flavour. Both of us were too full so we couldn’t finish the pizza. A staff gave us a takeaway box for us to take the leftovers. Overall, it was very delicious! I rate 4.5 out of 5.


I recommend this place for people who have never tried wood-fired pizza. You will able to experience the real taste of pizza! Don't forget to make reservation before you go!

Tiny Sweetie

Tiny Sweetie is a Hong Kong style dessert shop. My friend and I visited it in a Saturday afternoon, it was full of people. We were asked by a staff to move to another table after we just sat down. The restaurant is a bit small so you might struggle to get a seat if you're with a larger group. It seems like most of the costumers tend to go for the takeaway option. The menu mostly consists of dessert soups, and they are at very reasonably price (around $5). Unfortunately, the watermelon sago my friend tried wasn't quite like she had expected, it was more or a coconut milk mixed with sago, and the watermelon did not taste really good. But the red bean ice was really good! The red bean paste was well mixed with the milk. For the rice balls, it would be better if the peanuts were baked more.
