It has only just recently opened a month or two ago and so far it has received good reviews from the community. Chalkboard cafe is open 7 days a week and 4 nights, at night time it turns into a a dinner restaurant serving a Australian, Middle Eastern, and Persian dining menu. It is rated #2 of 33 restaurants in Gordon. The menu has an assortment of different options catering for people who want eggs all the way to Acai bowls. Mango Smoothie Bacon & Egg Brioche Roll I had a Bacon and Egg brioche roll which was very delicious especially with the brioche bun which I had never had with bacon and eggs before, i also had a mango smoothie to go with it which was great. I thoroughly enjoyed be experience at the Chalkboard Cafe and would recommend it to others. Website: https://www.chalkboardcafe.com.au/ Address: 13-15 St Johns Avenue, Gor

Yang Guo Fu Malatang

Image
On 14 of October, walked through the crowed place in Sydney and found a place for a new typical Chinese food. The YANG GUO FU MA LA TANG, noodles with spicy soup and bunch of typical Chinese ingredients, e.g. meatball from different kind of animals or “veggie meatball” made by flour, vegetable like Bok Choi or Cabbage, the food known by every Chinese. But the quintessence is the soup, the spicy soup. You just have to pick your food and the staff will weight for you to pay, then they will cook it for you at once. When they call your number then choose your sauces, e.g. sesame, garlic, chili. Pepper oil, sugar and vinegar.   Nowadays, it is quite famous for some Chinese picking this for their “daily fun meal”. It is quite like the traditional Chinese hotpot. The only difference from the hotpot is you don’t have the pot to cook and wait by yourself. It can save much of your time but you can still have a part of the joy from hotpot in your busy daily life. At least the

Papparich Chatswood

Image
Papparich is a Malaysian restaurant with several branches in Sydney. The one I went to was located at   1/63A Archer St, Chatswood NSW 2067. It opens from 11:30am to 9pm.  There are several different menus for roti (malaysian bread), Satay (meat on a stick) and a range of different noodle and rice dishes. This restaurant also caters for vegetarians. I ordered the Dry Curry Egg Noodles with Steamed Chicken. How this worked was that they cooked the egg noodles and put some curry on the side in a separate bowl. The egg noodles comes with spring onions, fried shallots and kale. The separate bowl contained only the curry sauce. Steamed chicken was decorated with some coriander. The meat was the chicken breast and was surprisingly soft and tender The service was mainly self-service. I was asked to look through the menu and write down the number of the dish i wanted to have before giving it to the waiter. Water collection

Gibbons street cafe

Image
Today I am going to review about the Gibbon street Café ! Gibbon street Café is one of newest café that recently opened at Redfern and serving brunch menu with coffee and fresh juice. There menu price is between $15-$20 and coffee is $3.5 for small and$4.5 for large. Gibbon street Café' style is bit different as other  cafes because they design the menu based on Thai and Australian style. So most of the menu names are bit special such as they naming  'Gibbon St Hotcakes' or 'Bangkok brekkie Eggs' which is very unique naming and attract the customers to try. So I tried both of menu   'Gibbon St Hotcakes' and 'Bangkok brekkie Eggs'  both taste are very Australian brunch style but I can taste little bit taste of Thai food ingredient :) They also sell the linguini pasta calls 'Squid and Chorizo Linguini'  this is one of my favourite menu because  I can taste  Thai-spices mingled well with pasta :) I attached the pictures for what I h

Cafe Oratnek

Inside Cafe Oratnek If you meet up with your friends often to have brunch, Café Oratnek is a MUST to go place. It is a Japanese and a bit of an Australian twist fusion café located in Redfern, Sydney. The café has both outdoor and indoor seatings with a beautiful view of the park. A lot of my friends recommended me to this place and told me that it is one of the best brunch café/restaurant in Sydney. I went with a friend to try their famous ‘Pork Fillet Katsu sandwich’. Omurice and Pork Katsu Sandwich My friend and I were so hungry and was exhausted from a long walk to the station to the café, so we ordered two different dishes to share. We ordered the Classic Omurice $19, and their signature dish Pork Fillet Katsu sandwich, $13. You will be amazed with the quality of the food, and the amount of the food. At first, I thought the Omurice (fried rice) was a bit expensive, but it was worth the price. The egg that covered the rice was so moist, and the rice with fried vegetables

Tiny Sweetie

Image
Tiny Sweetie is a Hong Kong style dessert shop. My friend and I visited it in a Saturday afternoon, it was full of people. We were asked by a staff to move to another table after we just sat down. The restaurant is a bit small so you might struggle to get a seat if you're with a larger group. It seems like most of the costumers tend to go for the takeaway option. The menu mostly consists of dessert soups, and they are at very reasonably price (around $5). Unfortunately, the watermelon sago my friend tried wasn't quite like she had expected, it was more or a coconut milk mixed with sago, and the watermelon did not taste really good. But the red bean ice was really good! The red bean paste was well mixed with the milk. For the rice balls, it would be better if the peanuts were baked more. Watermelon Sago with Coconut Milk $5.00 Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls with Peanuts Topping $4.50 Red Bean Ice $4.50 Website:   https://www.facebook.com/TinySweetieCh
